Busy adventuring

Hazel took her parents to the Olympic Peninsula this weekend to show them how to have a good time.  Her mission was accomplished.  Everyone got lost up a sort-of 4WD road looking for a trail to Jefferson Ridge, they camped out at a hidden campsite on a no-name forest road, hiked up Mt. Ellinor and cooled off in Lake Cushman.  To end the weekend, everyone had oyster burgers, fries and strawberry milkshakes.  Hazel remains convinced that summer is awesome and should last all year round.

Dad consults with Hazel on Mt. Ellinor.  The dog looks kind of tired, he says.  Should we turn around.  Whatever, Hazel answered, let's eat lunch!

So they did.  Hazel shared her peanut butter sandwich with Dad.

Everyone was really sweaty and dirty after their hike, so they went for a swim.
