Last Days of Summer

Hazel's summer is quickly ending since she goes back to school in a few days. Today, we went to Tin Cup where we checked out old mining camps and cabins. And also a kids' fishing pond.

We're working on getting up to date around here. For now, enjoy this picture of Hazel on her fifth trip down the Gunnison River this season. She makes a pretty rad boat captain.

Summer music

The Barker kids spend a lot of summer evenings at outdoor concerts. Every Sunday, there is a free concert across the street from our house. On Tuesdays, we have the I Bar of course. On Mondays, there's Alpenglow in Crested Butte. And on Wednesdays, there is free music outdoors at Mt. Crested Butte.

Whew. Outdoor music lovers' paradise!
