CYCLOCROSS!

Hazel welcomed the 2011 cyclocross season with a hearty ring of the cowbell and a loud scream of "GO FASTER DADDY!!"

Afterwards, she was kind enough to ask, "Daddy, are you okay?"

Let the games begin.

Labor Day in the desert

Per Kaiser Family Tradition, the Barkers headed due north/central/to the desert to Grandma and Grandpa's cabin for the three-day weekend. It was hot and sunny, with only a little wind. True, the boat broke down, but the jetski still worked, as did the kayak. Everyone soaked up the last bit of summer before the school year started and when Monday came around, reluctantly headed back home. Playing sardines with 50 other Kaisers in the cabin is worth it, if every weekend can be this fun.

Hazel played with the Little People. A lot. They were obviously having chicken for dinner.

Tea parties in the desert are par for the course.

As is hogging the wagon bathtub. Baby Eli was only a little jealous.

Hazel went out on the kayak countless times. This may surprise you, but she loved to tell Mom and Dad where to go and how to get there.

She even coerced Grandma in to some dryland training, visor, slippers and all.
